1. _First Trading Session_: NSE commenced trading operations on November 3, 1994, with a fully automated screen-based trading system.

2. _Introduction of Derivatives_: NSE introduced derivatives trading in June 2000, starting with index futures.

3. _Launch of Nifty 50 Index_: NSE launched the Nifty 50 Index in April 1996, which has since become a benchmark for the Indian stock market.

Expansion and Growth (2000-2010)

1. _Expansion of Trading Hours_: NSE extended its trading hours in 2001 to provide more flexibility to traders.
