Nestle's journey in India began in 1912 when it started trading as The Nestle Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company (Export) Limited, importing and selling finished products in the Indian market ¹. The Moga factory was established to develop the milk economy, and Nestle introduced its Agricultural Services to educate and support local farmers ¹. This initiative helped increase milk yields and improved dairy farming practices. Nestle also set up milk collection centers, ensuring prompt collection and fair prices for the farmers.
Over the years, Nestle has expanded its operations in India, introducing various products such as Maggi noodles, Nescafe coffee, and KitKat chocolates. Today, Nestle is one of the largest food and beverage companies in India, with a presence in over 30 cities and a workforce of over 7,000 people.
